Aims & Objectives
The aim of the initiative is to address themes of long-term importance to the sustainable
utilization of natural and environmental resources and provide relevant input towards
contributing towards the achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Specific Objectives Are To:

- Create awareness among the youth on the critical environmental and policy related issues in the country.
- Develop a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences; and ﾠpromote dialogue on youth and development.
- Empower the youth to make decisions that support social, economic ﾠand environmental sustainability
ﾠand to adapt to changing climate. - Enhance the knowledge and skills of the youth to access natural resources and environmental opportunities.

Sustainability
Upon completion of the programme, each participant is awarded an Ecoyouth Messenger Status.
The role of the messenger is work to help ensure the use of sound environmental practices in
their various communities and institutions. They also have the responsibility to expand the public
understanding on the importance of environmental protection and the conservation
of natural resources to ensure good public health. Each messenger is expected to share their experiences,
challenges and success stories with other messengers via a virtual online dialogue platform that will be
established by the organisers. The outputs from the virtual dialogue would serve as critical input for
the development of the Ecoyouth Initiative
